Staten Island Amazon workers withdraw attempt to unionize

Laborers at an Amazon stockroom in Staten Island, N.Y., have removed their request for a unionization vote, as indicated by the gathering driving the work.

Christian Smalls, a previous laborer at the office who drives the ALU, said on Twitter Friday that the ALU "briefly pulled out" its request in light of the fact that the card check "didn't go in favor"

The withdrawal is the second time this year an endeavor to unionize Amazon stockroom laborers missed the mark. 


Toward the beginning of April, laborers at a stockroom in Bessemer, Ala., casted a ballot against permitting the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union to address them. 


In any case, the vote in Alabama could be held again after a NLRB field hearing official observed that Amazon pushed for introducing a post box outside of the plant, meddling all the while.
